Reasons Why I Love Law School

1. Random comments: say what? So our class topic today was about hunting wild animals and when you can actually claim them as property. One of the cases talked about this guy that was hunting a fox and right before he caught it, someone else swooped in and killed the fox instead. So then, this guy raises his hand and starts talking about how hard it is to catch a fox...where in the heck did that come from? Well apparantly foxes can jump five feet into the air. They can also clear entire classrooms if they want. Just in case you needed to know...

2. The cases: Oh yes. The next case was about how a guy owned a pond that he would try to catch ducks in. His neighbor apparently didn't want him to have the ducks anymore so the neighbor sat on the other guy's property and would should his gun off just to scare the ducks away. I got a pretty good image out of this one.

3. The passionate opinions of my classmates: They are hilarious. There was a meeting today about healthcare reform and the guy sitting next to me was getting all worked up. The speaker was very clearly a democrat and in support of the health care bill...so instead of talking about the actual healthcare bill she spent the whole time talking about how we could get it passed. I'm assuming that the guy next to me does not support the health care bill...He couldn't stop talking about it. Then he left early. I was highly entertained about how worked up he got about it. This is my opinion about politics: We elect officials and then from there the decisions are out of our hands. If we want to have decisions made right, we should be electing officials we agree with. There is no point in crying over spilled milk.
